Update on CalJOBS^SM

CalJOBS^SM is expected to be available on or before Monday, November 9, 2009. Please continue checking the News and Announcements section of EDD’s Web site for further updates.

Background

As of Friday, October 23, 2009, CalJOBS^SM, California’s online job exchange system is temporarily unavailable. EDD recently took this precaution in light of a few isolated cases of unauthorized access to posted résumé information. Such access was available to a limited number of résumé postings and did not compromise confidential information contained in the system such as Social Security numbers. EDD is working to ensure that the entire system is fully secure before restoring access to the CalJOBS^SM site. EDD recognizes this site provides an important service to employers, as well as unemployed workers in the State and will have CalJOBS^SM available again in the near future.

In the meantime, information stored within the system has been secured. The requirement for Unemployment Insurance claimants to post their résumés on CalJOBS^SM has been temporarily waived. However, to continue receiving benefits, claimants must attend any and all scheduled appointments.
